The Buitendag Noordoostpolder in the Kuinderbos near Bant is an annual family day on Easter Monday, where there is plenty to do, see and experience for young and old. The Outdoor Day is organised by the Forestry Commission and the turnover from the sale of snacks at the catering square goes to charity. Come and enjoy all the activities, demonstrations and fun with the whole family.
There are as many as eighty stands and activities, including various competitions (woodcutting and wooden sculpture making), climbing tower climbing and djembe drumming. Of course, face painting and a bouncy castle are not lacking either, as are Easter egg hunts, nest box carpentry and exploring the Kabourterpad for the little ones. Young and old can easily spend a whole day here, especially if you can get chips and other snacks when you get hungry from all the activities.

Of course, face painting and a bouncy castle are not lacking either, as are Easter egg hunts, nest box carpentry and exploring the Kabourterpad for the little ones. Young and old can easily spend a whole day here, especially if you can get chips and other snacks when you get hungry from all the activities.
Of course, the familiar crowd-pullers can also be experienced again, such as police dog demonstrations and sheep herding demonstrations. Of course, the Jack Russel races will also be held again. You can also sail on the Kuinderplas with a guide and do a course on an ATB bike. In addition, there will be plenty of competition this day: lumberjack competitions by the Stihl demo team, a wood dragging competition with draft horses and a carving competition in which participants make wooden sculptures, which can later be seen on hiking trails in the Kuinder forest. The public gets to vote and decide which chainsaw artist wins.
In addition to the 'Bloodaxe Sibbe' Vikings, the Knights of the Hanseatic Company are also on hand this year. The Vikings and Knights will set up camp in the Kuinderbos and give us an insight into their lives. This year, the 'Stokpaardenparcours' will also be set up again where visitors can show their agility with stick horses. In addition, the spectacular 'Fabeltjeskrant' game trail will also be back.
Activities take place on the Kuinderplas field, at the Forestry Commission's work shed and on the grounds of the Veenkuil campsite. About 150 metres from the entrance is parking space for 400 cars and along the Schoterpad is parking for another 300 cars. From there, you can get to and back from the event site by (covered) trolley. For visitors who have difficulty walking and have a personal disabled pass, parking can be reserved on request via h.bergman@staatsbosbeheer.nl. Please note: the Hopweg near Natuurkampeerterrein de Veenkuil is a one-way street, so enter from Kuinre.
You can download both the map and the programme in advance from the Buitendag Noordoostpolder website, but these will also be handed out at the box office.
By the way, do you have any old mobile phones, notebooks or iPads lying around at home or at work? Then hand them in at one of the entrances to the Outdoor Day for a good cause: the proceeds from the reuse of the old devices will fully benefit the 'Burcht van Kuinre' project, also in the Kuinderbos.
