Waterworks AR-Route

Dive into the special world of the Waterloop forest with the 'Waterworks AR' app! This app brings to life the stories behind eight model sites. Download the app, follow the white arrows of the Harbour Route and be surprised.

The walking route is 3 kilometres long and takes you past several unique hydrological models. You start your route at the entrance building next to the artwork Deltawerk//. At eight model locations, you watch and listen to the story of the model via the app. You can recognise the locations by the blue footstep tile.

Download the app via Google's Play Store or Apple's App Store, watch the introductory video in the app and then walk to the artwork Deltawerk//. Here, stand in the middle of the bridge facing the tilted wall sections. Hold your phone in landscape mode in front of you. Open the AR video in your app (under the Model button) and watch the model appear over your phone's live image. This is how the old model comes to life, with waves that were as high as 2.5 metres.

Also at the following points with a tile bearing the blue footsteps icon, you get explanations about the respective model site via AR videos and infographics. Thus, history and technology come to life while you take a nice walk through nature.
