Grab a share bike

No bicycle along?

The Noordoostpolder is an ideal cycling destination. Especially for visitors who do not have their own bicycle (with them), there are six bicycle hubs spread throughout the Noordoostpolder. So you can still enjoy cycling if you came by car or public transport. At a bicycle hub there are shared e-bike hub which you can easily reserve up to one hour in advance via the app Deelfiets Nederland at € 0.75 per 15 minutes / € 3 per hour. In addition, you pay a starting rate of € 0.75.

Choose your hub and route

The six bicycle hubs in the Noordoostpolder are at Museum Schokland, Hotel Van Saaze, Fletcher Hotel Marknesse, Bij Ons in the Wellerwaard, the bus station in Emmeloord and the camper park at Schoterplas. Handy, especially if you travel by public transport: you can return the bike at another hub in the region, even in National Park Weerribben-Wieden and Giethoorn. So you decide how long you will cycle and where to go.

Walk there, cycle back

Tip: Going hiking in the Noordoostpolder? Then consider combining that with renting a shared bike! Get off the bus or park your car at one of the bike hubs, walk to another bike hub, unlock a bike there and ride back to the bus or your car. You can of course do this on your own, but you can also follow the routes we have already mapped out for you. We also indicate which restaurants and sights you will pass. If you follow our route, you walk first and then return by bike via a slightly different route. But of course the other way round is also possible.
