GAAFF Day Care & Lunchroom is a place where (young) adults with disabilities and/or mental health issues work. In the lunchroom, they work in a pleasant and peaceful environment, where they can help prepare meals, serve customers and tidy up. The focus is on teamwork, structure and hospitality.
Coffee is served all day in the lunchroom, and delicious sandwiches and lunch dishes are made with fresh, local ingredients. Fancy high tea? That's possible too. The space can also be hired for groups and parties.
GAAFF is located on the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Schokland, overlooking the old harbour of former Emmeloord. Guests of the lunchroom come from all over the region to walk, cycle and discover the island, or simply because the coffee with cake and lunches are so delicious...

The rest of the building offers space for creativity through woodworking, crafts, painting, gardening and much more. The day care clients make beautiful creations here in the woodworking shop and studio, or they enjoy working outside in the vegetable garden or with the animals.
