They know which fields have tulips growing in them, which of course varies from year to year, and place Tulip Festival signs that you can follow to cycle the entire tulip cycle route. This year's tulip cycle route takes you past Emmeloord, Luttelgeest, Bant, Rutten and Creil and is about 33 kilometres long. In addition to the physical signage, the route is also shown on a map, which you can print or open and download via Google Maps. There is also a Tulip Festival app, which provides background information about both tulip cultivation and the area you are cycling through.
