Verhage fruit

At the heart of Verhage Fruit is the large farm shop with an extensive range, where you can buy crisp, fresh apples, pears and cherries. Are you visiting outside the farm shop’s opening hours? Or are you in a real hurry? Then pick up your fresh apples and other local produce from the farm vending machine at the entrance to the car park. It’s open day and night.

The farm shop offers more than just our own fruit, which is supplied fresh daily. The naturally pure apple juice – made, of course, from our own harvest – has become a household name throughout the wider region. Thanks to partnerships with other small-scale businesses producing traditionally farmed produce, you’ll find a surprisingly wide range of products here. Think of genuine farmhouse cheese, meat from Limousin cattle and grain-fed pigs, fresh free-range eggs, a wide variety of vegetables straight from fellow growers, jams, honey and even a selection of wines. Twice a week, you’ll find the tastiest fresh dairy products here, such as milk, buttermilk, butter and all kinds of yoghurt. And how about the farm-made ice cream?

Unique in the Netherlands is the Verhage family’s distillery, where they transform their own apples, pears and cherries into an aromatic spirit in a copper still. Since 2011, they have been the first fruit growers in the Netherlands to have their own distillery. Here, they distil their own fruit using traditional methods to produce a fine Eau de Vie. Among Verhage’s spirits and liqueurs, you’ll find strawberry, cherry and rhubarb liqueurs, as well as Appl’eau.
