Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant Marknesse is a hotel that opened in 2023, housed in a fully renovated historic building. The building formerly served as the headquarters of the Hydraulics Laboratory, which carried out over 200 hydraulic studies in the adjacent woodland between the 1950s and the 1990s. In the Waterloopbos, you’ll find the remains of the large-scale test setups for flood defences and dams, and now this modern hotel-restaurant too. The hotel has 112 comfortable rooms and is the ideal location for a lovely weekend away.
