Audio cycle route Drowned villages in the Northeast Polder (2)

(32.0 km)

This is route 2 of the cyclecast about drowned villages in the Northeast Polder. It starts and ends in Espel. The route takes you into the past, which may make you look at the present in a very different way. Along the way, Maritime Archaeologist Yftinus van Popta talks about the villages that once lay in this area. And we meet Dirk, who lets you listen to the legends he digs up from the polder clay with his story detector.

You can cycle the route while listening to the stories, or you can dismount from time to time and sit on a bench to listen. Just whatever you feel comfortable with.

Tips: at a Wifi point, download the route to your phone and turn on your location facilities. Only press start in Espel when you are ready to go.
