EmmeloordFrom 6 to 10 July, the first week of the summer holidays will once again be dedicated to the Summer Week ‘Hey, are you joining in?!’. Children aged 7 to 13 can take part in a varied programme full of creative, cultural, sporting and educational workshops. Thanks to the collaboration between the Municipality Noordoostpolder, Cultuurbedrijf Noordoostpolder, Carrefour, the Rotary Club of Emmeloord and FlevoMeer Library, every child will have the chance to discover new talents and enjoy an unforgettable start to the summer holidays.
Something for every child to enjoy
Whether you love dancing, making music, acting, photography, crafts, technology or simply being active: there’s a workshop to suit everyone during Summer Week. Children are introduced to culture, sport and creativity in an accessible way.

Whether you enjoy dancing, making music, acting, photography, crafts, technology or simply being active: there’s a workshop to suit everyone during Summer Week. Children are introduced to culture, sport and creativity in an accessible way.
Two free performances make this year particularly special: on Wednesday, ‘Hakim op z’n Best’ on Schokland, and on Friday, the festive finale with Circus SNOR, where children can join in themselves as real circus performers.
Open to everyone
The Summer Week is designed to offer as many children as possible a fun and rewarding holiday experience, close to home. That’s why taking part in a workshop costs just €1.50. Families using the ‘Meedoenpakket’ (Participation Pack) from Noordoostpolder Council can take part in the workshops for free.
The performance by Hakim op z’n Best and the activities organised by Circus Snor are free to attend. However, registration is required for the circus workshop.

Through the Summer Week, the partner organisations are showing that a wonderful summer holiday doesn’t have to be far away. By exploring, being active, creating and having fun together, children will enjoy a week full of new experiences that will stay with them for a long time to come.
