Museum Schokland's indoor and outdoor exhibits tell stories of the geology and archaeology of the Noordoostpolder, the island's origins and demise, the lives of the Schokker population and the reclamation. The museum consists of several buildings around the historic Middelbuurt church. Here you can imagine yourself back on the former Schokland. The museum's permanent exhibition takes you through the history of Schokland: wandering through the centuries, the story comes to life. Along the way, you will pass special archaeological finds that are highlighted in the exhibition. There are also temporary exhibitions on history, archaeology or geology throughout the year.

In Museum Nagele, architecture is the name of the game. And that is not surprising, since it is located in the middle of the only Dutch flat-roofed village. Nagele was designed in the 1950s by architects from De Acht and Opbouw, such as Cornelis van Eesteren, Aldo van Eyck, Gerrit Rietveld and garden architect Mien Ruys. At the museum, this genesis is told in a permanent exhibition. There are also changing exhibitions in which architecture and art play an important role.
