From roadside regional products to large farm shops where you can get your locally grown groceries; the Noordoostpolder ádoms farm life. Besides: locally grown & locally sold is fresh, delicious, not expensive and better for the environment. So why not do it!

Fresh from the land

Lots of delicious things are grown and cultivated in the Noordoostpolderder. And the great thing is: you can often come and pick it yourself. Especially the apple-picking days in September and October are a feast for the whole family. With a wheelbarrow through the orchard and pick them! In autumn, for example, pay a visit to Vink Fruitboerderij in Kraggenburg, Verhage Fruit in Luttelgeest or Fruitbedrijf Masteling in Marknesse.

    Farm shops

In the rest of the year, too, there are plenty of fresh products from the land. For that, of course, you go to a farm shop, where they sell their own fruit and vegetables, but also those of their neighbours. Local and fresh. They look forward to seeing you at Renne Streekproducten in Nagele, Fruitbedrijf Hoekstra in Luttelgeest or Landwinkel Versluis in Emmeloord.

      Pick your own

At Farm Groeizaam in Emmeloord, you can also help with harvesting: in July you can harvest your own organic vegetables, in September your own pumpkins. You can also pick your own flowers here in the summer - how fun is that? You can also put together your own bouquet at Farm De Zuiderkrib in Kraggenburg. And if you are lucky, the berries there are also ripe for picking. Just tell me: home-picked is the best! You can find all picking days in the Visit Noordoostpolder agenda.

        Polder wine

By the way, did you already know that grapes are grown and wine made in the Noordoostpolder? At Wijngaard Maronesse in Marknesse, you can go for guided tours and wine tastings of their polder wines. Don't forget to pop into their farm shop after your visit, too.
