Local producers

You can buy fruit and vegetables ‘direct from the farmer’ throughout the Netherlands. What makes some producers in the Noordoostpolder unique is that, for example, at Vink Fruit Farm in Kraggenburg you can pick your own apples and pears, and that Polderkoninkjes in Luttelgeest has a strawberry vending machine by the roadside. And you might not have expected it here, but there’s also a proper vineyard in the Noordoostpolder : Maronesse in Marknesse. We also have two local breweries here – Boeren Brouwers in Creil and Kasparus in Nagele – and a distillery where fruit is processed into liqueurs, amongst other things: Verhage Fruit in Luttelgeest. Even flowers are ‘produced’ here in abundance, both for sale at the auction and for consumers via roadside flower vending machines. Why not pick up a bunch of lilies at Bredefleur or a bunch of roses at Bernhard, both in Luttelgeest?
