Straight from the land
From an area where the agricultural sector is so strongly represented, you can naturally expect good food. Do you fancy regional products straight from the polder soil? Many of our restaurants like to use them in their cuisine. Of course, you can also just have a cup of coffee or a drink. We have cosy terraces in many places where you can sit down and relax.
Grown locally and sold locally: you won't find anything fresher than that. From roadside produce to large farm shops where you can do your local shopping; the Noordoostpolder is all about farming. You can taste it at various agricultural and farm shops, but also at the stalls and fruit and vegetable vending machines along the polder roads.

Time for a bite to eat? We have all kinds of restaurants in the Noordoostpolder where you can grab a bite to eat. In Emmeloord, for example, at Brasserie AanDeel and 't Voorhuys. But you can also find atmospheric culinary gems outside Emmeloord, such as Pier16 on the beach near Schokkerhaven and FENN's on the edge of the Kuinderbos. Looking for a cosy village restaurant? Then try De Goede Aanloop in Tollebeek or De Pionier in Marknesse.
