Lecture 'The Polder Tower from A to Z

For a year it was hidden behind construction scaffolding and scaffolding nets, but since the festive reopening, the Polder Tower is once again the proud centrepiece of the Noordoostpolder. Visitors were able to see the tower from the inside during the opening weekend, and they were able to enjoy the view of the Emmeloord and the polder from the viewing platform as before. But what actually happened to the tower? And how was this restoration work carried out?

On Thursday evening 11 June, Henk de Kruiff, project manager at Draisma Bouw, will explain the structural restoration work on the Poldertoren. Through a presentation and various photos, visitors will get a picture of the construction of the tower between 1957 and 1959 up to the most recent renovation last year.
