Z!N Care Farm is a lovely combination of a children’s farm and a day centre, where everyone is welcome just as they are. As you drive past the care farm, you can already see the animals from the children’s farm roaming about.
It is a cosy beast mess, as there are horses, including mini shetlanders, cuddly pigs, guinea pigs and cute teddy rabbits that are there especially for petting and cuddling in the cuddle area set up for that purpose. The petting zoo also has sheep, goats and funny animals that look like llamas; alpacas! Unlike llamas, alpacas do not spit, so there is no need to worry about that.

For a bite to eat and a drink, head to the Z!N & ZOET restaurant. Do you recognise the building as the former ProefLab// from the Waterloopbos? It’s now located here. There’s also a terrace, and next to it a lovely playground has been built, where children can have a great time playing outdoors on the climbing frame, the large bird’s-nest swing or the trampoline, whilst their parents enjoy a lovely cup of coffee or tea. Adventurous children can also let off steam on the climbing and scrambling trail, whether or not accompanied by their parents.
The petting zoo is free to visitors and is open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm. Come along, coffee and lemonade are always ready.
