Group accommodation Gastvrij Schokland - The Manor House

You will find Gastvrij Schokland in the yard of a former farm, in the south of the Noordoostpolder. It is lovely to stay here in the large holiday home 'Het Landhuis', adjacent to the former Zuiderzee island of Schokland.

Schokland is a symbol of the battle against the encroaching water of the Zuiderzee. Unesco therefore awarded Schokland the special status of World Heritage Site back in 1995, the first Flevoland location to receive this honour.

The group accommodation 'Het Landhuis' is located together with group accommodation 'De Pionier' and the B&B rooms of Gastvrij Schokland directly on the footpath towards the former island. A tour of the island with a visit to the museum and the old church ruins can be done easily on foot or by bicycle. Because of its central location, Gastvrij Schokland is also easily accessible by car from all parts of the country.
