There are different water levels in the Noordoostpolder der. The level on the eastern side of the polder is higher. As a result, the water level in the canals and ditches on the east side is also higher. Tollebeek is the lowest point of the Noordoostpolder. Here the water level is also the lowest, at -6.20 NAP. The Steven Rippen pumping station is one of the instruments that regulates this water level.
