Huis Polman is a feast of recognition, which starts with the layout of the house. Perhaps a smell reminds you of your former neighbour's soup or you recognise the lamp your (grand)parents also had hanging in the house. Come along and discover how the first inhabitants of the flat-roofed village of Nagele lived here. Those newly arrived residents of the new polder were positively surprised by the size of their houses and the modern amenities such as running water, toilet and washbasin. The houses were new and without defects.
You can of course discover (or guess?) for yourself what certain objects from the pioneer era are, but you can also listen to anecdotes via a device you get when you visit, which allows you to scan the signs with QR codes placed here and there to hear interesting stories about the house and its admirers. With those stories in your ears, the house, or rather the house's past, comes alive even more.
