The tower has the stylistic features of sober brick architecture related to the Delft School. The 65.3-metre-high Polder Tower served as a water tower, carillon tower and watchtower. The tower also has a viewing platform and a carillon consisting of 48 bells, one of which also functions as a swinging bell. The tower's crowning glory consists of a gilded copper weather vane in the shape of a bowser.
Every year during Open Monument Day, you can climb the Polder Tower for free to enjoy the beautiful view over the polder. On other days, visiting the Polder Tower is unfortunately not possible for the time being. But be sure to check it out from a distance, because that's when it looks its best.
