On 11 July, the Kuinderse Activities Foundation is organising a beer festival in the Kuinder forest near Kuinre castle. The proceeds from this beer festival are intended for a major plan to visualise Kuinre castle for residents and tourists in the area. A grant application for this has been made and awarded, but 50,000 euros will have to be raised through crouwdfunding to make the plan break even. You can donate at www.buitenfonds.nl, as well as track financial progress.

On 11 July, six brewers will present at least four beers each on the field near the castle. There will also be and wine and soft drinks bar for those who are not beer lovers but want to support this unique project. The band Missing Tyrone will play cosy music at a volume that also allows socialising with each other and respecting the natural environment. Missing Tyrone is a six-piece band with and love for blues, blues rock, Americana and country, they play well-known and lesser-known covers.
The festival starts at 15:00 and ends at 21:00. Parking is available at the large car park and at Kuinre's old harbour; visitors will be moved from there by wagon to the castle grounds and, of course, brought back again.
The cost is €17.50 per person, for which you will receive a unique tasting glass with printing and 2 coins. And of course you will enjoy a well-kept festival location with music in nature and a wagon ride to the car park.
The brewers will offer their beers in a tent, so you can enjoy the outdoors. There will also be a cosy campfire burning if the drought protocols allow it, and of course the inner man will be catered for with drinks boards, snacks and chips. The beefburgers are organic meat from cattle that help the forester as grazing animals in the Kuinderbos.
Builders will present their best and tastiest beers, participants can express their preferences and 20:45 the maker of the tastiest beer will be honoured and win a wooden beer mug similar to the one our robber knight Hendric de Crane once drank his beer from.
