Whereas the houses, churches and shops in most villages in the Noordoostpolder are pretty much alike, those in Nagele are nothing alike. In Nagele, in fact, all the roofs are flat. Even those of the church. This is because here the architectural movement Het Nieuwe Bouwen was given free rein, while the construction of the other villages followed the more traditional Delft School. Not only are the flat roofs an expression of this, but also the many green spaces in and around the village.
In this former church, with its slab roof like the rest of the buildings in Nagele, you can discover the genesis and layout history and thus the architecture of this special village. Besides this permanent exhibition, the museum also has temporary exhibitions in which architecture and visual arts play an important role.
With a visit to Huis Polman in Nagele, you step back in time to 1956, when the house had just been built. For the slightly less young among us, it is a feast of recognition, which already starts with the layout of the house. But the interior is also completely authentic and invites you to discover and be amazed. The latter in turn for the slightly younger among us...

At the Frietbakkerij you can order fresh fries, as well as burgers, snacks, lunch dishes and coffee and cake. The Frietbakkerij works with local suppliers of their potatoes (from Flevopolder), meatballs from the artisanal butcher (from Kuinre) and apple tarts made in Bant.
Unfortunately, Renne Meeting and Event Venue cannot be visited on a drop-in basis every day – for example, after a visit to the Renne Streekproducten farm shop – but it is ideal for family or corporate events. You can enjoy the covered South African charcoal braai, the delicious farm lunch and hot and cold buffets, whilst the children let off steam on the inflatable trampoline.
Close to the A6 is the former farm Afslag Nagele, where you can spend the night in your own tent, on a paved or unpaved camper site or in the more luxurious B&B. Whatever suits your needs and budget.

In the early years of the village of Nagele, the cooperative farmer's loan bank was located in the building at Zuiderpoort 10, with an adjoining residence for the officer. Today, the former bank area is home to a spacious studio (69m2), attractively furnished with a nod to the building's history.
