Surround yourself with dozens of species of dragonflies, hundreds of species of plants and other riches of nature during a walk on the foresters' path through the Kuinder forest. Enjoy the breeding birds in May and June, the life in the (relatively) old forests and discover the Little Sweden of the Kuinderbos.
The starting point of the walking route is Kuinderbos car park. It is located near the Overijsselian village of Kuinre, but because the Kuinderbos is in Flevoland, the address falls under the Flevoland village of Luttelgeest. The starting point of the walking route is Kuinderbos car park. The car park is at Hopweg 2B (and is marked on the signs with an icon of walking doll with text 'Kuinderbos'). This Staatsbosbeheer car park is also a Toeristisch Overstap Punt (TOP).
The route is 13.5 kilometres. The TOP information panel at the car park shows a map of the route with red line and green dots. There is also a signpost (with green markings) to the starting point of the route. Otherwise, this route is not marked on site. To do this walk, download the route with description and map. It is useful to also download the gpx file. Along the way you will come across several information panels.
The paths are both paved and unpaved. Dogs are welcome, but must be leashed for most of the walk. Good waterproof shoes are recommended during the wet periods of the year.
