Do you have time for a cultural-historical outing almost at the end? Then visit Museum Schokland, which tells the story of the geology and archaeology of the area, the origin and decay of the island, the life of the Schokker population and the reclamation of the Noordoostpolder.
You will pass several catering establishments along the way, where you can have a nice lunch or a bite to eat. You will find them linked to this route as intermediate stops. Be sure to light up at the farm shop of Vink Fruitboerderij in Kraggenburg. There they have a large orchard, where apples, pears and cherries grow, which are of course for sale in the farm shop. But you can also buy strawberries, raspberries, beets, cauliflower and many more locally grown fruits and vegetables. Not to mention locally made jams and juices. Take some with you for the evening in your accommodation, so you can relive your day in Noordoostpolder with the tastiest local produce. Polder tasting is what we call it.
